Hello CMDRs

I have recently bought a Razer Man O War headset. Everything appears to be working fine however; I cannot seem to get the damn mic working In-game, or at least my Wingman cannot hear me.

I have double, and quadruple checked all the settings.

Any suggestions?

Try discord or teamspeak.

Ingame voice is just horrible. Seriously unusable.

Does the headset work ok on other games? If you have not tried other games then maybe try the windows audio in control panel to see if you can see the Mic working in that.

I've never (well, never say never) had a problem with in-game voice comms and really like them for casual encounters. I agree Discord is probably better for groups.

Just to confirm you have set your mic levels?

Maybe you have a key binding, unknowingly set, for push to talk, so the mic is muted?

If you are running Voice Attack, there is a known conflict between VA and the Razer software. Check the VA website forums for more info (no I am too lazy to google it for you)

I agree that discord and TS provide much clearer voice comms. But I also agree with Roger Wilko that in game voice comms is useful as well. When working a CG, in game comms is much easier for those quick wings.

Others have offered great suggestions.... checking your mic functionality in voice recorder, checking your 'push to talk' settings, etc.
