Returning Player, CMDR Matrix Alpha

Postby Matrix Alpha » Tue Oct 21, 2025 7:14 am

Greetings Commanders,

Retired Space Dad returning to the black. (Dont let the name trouble you, I picked it in a time before the internet''s Incel population started classifying themselves according to their percieved place in a Wolf Pack. It actually just reflects that I really enjoyed the Watchowski's masterpiece.)

Ive been piloting a Cobra Mk III since it was all wireframe graphics and the cockpit looked suspiciously like my C64 keyboard. Enjoying escaping to the vastness of space in VR, trading, mining, bounty-hunting - the only thing in game I have not tried my hand at was Xeno stuff, mostly because I didnt really understand what you had to do to get guardian equipment, and it all looked like too much of a time commitment to do it. Returning becuase of the re-invigoration of game systems and ships by Frontier recently.

Since returning I have made a journey out to Colonia, taken part in a few CEs and done some mining. Looking at bounty hunting next and checking out the changes to Power Play.

Should you find yourself docked at the same port send a greeting, happy to help with anything except the FPS stuff, on foot holds no interest to me, if I wanted to walk Id be playing COD.

Cheers, Aye

Mel

Welcome back CMDR Matrix Alpha!

Always nice to meet a fellow C64 gamer! I remember playing Tradewars 2002 on local BBS. It gave similar vibes lol.

Fly safe!

"Of course I do. It's 2278."
