BTW the Federals are out in force in the extraction sites, they seem to get very upset when i steal their kills...Was ok with an Eagle, but with the Viper they seem to turn hostile after 2-3 kills...I don't think i landed any hits on them bu mistake.

Has anyone experianced this?

Now the little time I have to play is trying stuff and learning in combat..........

Yep it happened to me yesterday in my brand spanking new, first time out, Viper.

Like you I don't know if I'd clipped one of them, I'm pretty sure I hadn't. Perhaps they didn't like me stealing their Conda kills?

Well i've been hitting the various extraction sites alot in the last couple of days, I have to say that the security patrol very rarely turned on me, once i actually hit one of them with my cannons, the other times I don't think I did any thing. I did get a wanted status and a bounty on me after killing a wanted NPC however, was able to clear it in a nearby station.

The good news is that with a Viper, you can boost away quite rapidly and live to fight another day. Move all power to the engine and some to sys (2 pips in sys to recharge the shields) and make sure you use thrusters to jink so they will have a harder time hitting you.
