For the Alliance!!!

I'm still currently mulling around Erevate and Kremainn systems building up enough creds to get an ADS and a LDS for my Sidewinder. I am saving up for an Asp which I will use to go where no man has gone before . I reckon I need around 60 million credits to outfit and pay for any insurance should the need arise.While doing this I have been learning of the various factions in civilised space and The Alliance seem like the best suited for me.

While making this huge sum of money I have decided (after having an extensive look around civilized space on the galaxy map viewer) that I will head towards Alliance space and maybe throw my hardpoints in with them. I am thinking of setting up home system nearer the edge of civilized/Alliance space (ready for my exploits into unknown space).

I just wanted to get an idea of who else has decided to join the Alliance. If you have any tips about Alliance space they would be greatly appreciated and if you are already there fighting the good fight and trying to gain influence for the boys in green, then let me know and I will join the fray.

I think the Arque system is quite interesting.. it's away from other Alliance systems making it a bit of an outpost. It's also close to Empire (Codorain) and various Fed systems, handy for cashing in bounties.

I found a nice little system in 38 Lyncis. It's on the edge of Alliance space and for all you miners out there, has a pristine metallic ring around 38 Lyncis 4 i believe so I will have a small mining outpost there. I believe there is an anarchy system really close and there is high tech around there too. I will have to take a look at the Arque system. Lave seems interesting but a little too far from the bulk of alliance space. Be nice to try and gain our boys some influence around there as I heard the rare trading is good.

60 million yeah lol. I am yet to price it up fully but that's my rough estimate to get my explorer up and running and have enough to buy back if I manage to crash into a sun while scooping for fuel

Thanks for the info. And i now realise i couldda posted this on the Faction page/forum thing. i'm a noob to posting in forums as this is really the only game that made me want to join the community. But. I learn fast.

Hi there,

My homesystem is now Alignak. When it came my home, it is the nearest Alliance star system from Eravate-Brani-Cupis area. Alignak Piserchia Port is Hich Tech Coriolis Station. There's plenty of trade routes and some good RES too to grind some credits fast.

There's also stations with both Alliance and Federation factions, Cr Draco example. If you sometime head to this way, Im the guy with Orange-White Cobra or Orange Vulture

I used to have an Asp kitted out for exploration and it cost me less than 20 million. It shouldn't cost much more than that for a combat set-up either. You can test configurations at the http://www.edshipyard.com/ and that'll give you exact costs.
I might head over to Arque myself, I've been looking for somewhere near to both Fed and Empire to cash in bounties. I've not really decided which faction to support so I might have a look at the Alliance for that.

I think after I set up my mining home on 38 Lyncis I will take a trip to Alignak and Arque. Hopefully find somewhere pilots are trying to turn an indie system to Alliance.
