A paint shop with 3-4 layers, and various designs ( squares , circles, lines etc) would be a useful and immersive development, and in purchased and earned ingame decals and we have a nice set of tools for individual expression...just program it to combine the layers into one skin and the over all memory usage or what not should not be to high.

Just expect alot of people to paint their ships black for camoflage ...lol

IMO, FD has failed in an epic way with paint jobs.

In other games with ships/cars/etc, you can make basic changes to your ship/car's appearance for free. Frankly, I'm not paying some guy at FD for opening MS paint, sliding the HUE bar a few ticks, and calling it a day. That's just ridiculous. They can't even be bothered to put out 'Conda hues. I understand some folks want to 'throw some change at FD' and I'm cool with that. I personally will not reward a company for a lazy attempt at a money grab.

What I would be willing to pay for is a real paint job. The 'ignition' and 'pirate' paint jobs are in the right direction, but still pretty lame. I think you guys know what I mean.

Remember, ED is a kickstarter. I pay for paint jobs to support future work and currently like their progress. But since it is cosmetic, it's your choice. You don't need it to progress in the game.

The rainbow colours was put out because the demand was so high for the skins that it was an easy immediate solution until more skins were made.

Anaconda is a different beast, the hull can be visually damaged and thus harder to create skins for it.
