Checked out the system hiRES and was very --- VERY: 4.6 mil --- satisfied -- thanks Skipp! I didn't receive a confirmation about the friend request but it seems it got through anyway. (at the same time, for some reason my Empire rep decreased. )

And by the way, these Clippers have become tough, have they? Or not so much tough as spin-happy, and excellently turreted. They really like to point their flat noses on you ... Again, one nearly cracked my canopy.

PS My statistics are interesting. According to them, I have spent over 340 million (!) on shps and outfitting, and I doubt I have even got 100 mil up to now. So it seems every buy of a ship counts but not the selling ... even than the numbers feel much too high.

Yup, might have to do it twice though to get rid of the shadow\hidden bounty.
And the only reason to not do this is you also loose your uncollected bounties with fed\alliance, but you can take a 30ly hauler and cash those in quite quickly.

I have noticed the same, and they have gotten ridiculously high for me, since I often put advanced scanners when traveling and sell them when arriving (hey honking unknowns like that easily gets you a few 100k), as well as putting all my money into testing a few expensive ships, like the clipper and python, FDL, and then python again.

Heck only way to loose money in this game is if you get killed with an expensive cargo
That t9 full of imperial slaves kinda hurt, but that was also the only one real loss I suffered in this game :S

oh, yea... how does that work? If i get killed once i have the "dormant" bounty. will the local police still go after me? or is it just there to reactivate if i do something stupid again?

From what I remember, the dormant bounty only gets reactivated when someone KW scans you, just the barebone scan doesn't show it.

But I noticed that after I lost my t9, I had dormants but they where all gone after the second time I lost my t9 to an interdictor, and they certainly didn't bother scanning.
