You know what's funny? The only thing I regret is that I didn't have more spare money back then to back the game. I would have loved to back the game to a writers level, or to have a dinner with David. So far it has been worth it all the way! Admittedly I also had some raised eyebrowes over some design choices, but over all it is the game I was dreaming of since almost 20 years! Still!
It is the only PC game I play. I play a little Playstation, but Elite is my passion!
I am not defending FD over choices I don't like, they exist! But charging some money for an extension that allows us to have a whole new playfield a million times larger than any other game that is is out there is not one of them. (And it was the plan all the way, stated in the kickstarter pitch)
I admire the patience of the Frontier Devs to explain again and again without a sign of stress that this is the way it always was and how it is going to be.
Kudos to them and Michael (The Rock) Brookes.
