I was incriminating myself by trying to blast the fed Viper off your rear, and as he passed by you, I saw your title onscreen and thought I had fired at your ship - but I didn't.

I got loads of other stuff wrong, too - as you'll see in the video. Makes me feel like a right sproggy n00b tit I can tell you

I reduced my pics to 800x600 and they still were too big to fit in a post. Sod making 'em smaller!

The file size doesn't depend only on the image size, but also on its format. So if you're trying to upload a png and the forum complains that it's too big, try to convert it to jpg first (they're much more compressed).

I only ever use jpegs

It's a learning curve. I am rubbish compared to a lot of the guys in this group and was even worse when I first started. I think I just got lucky last night personally.

And glad to know you didn't shoot me. That Viper was tearing me a new one and gave me the best dogfight I've had so far. Was very satisfying when he blew up. It was just a shame he had 2 mates...Thanks for the back up. I expect it helped keep me alive.

I've been flying flight sims since 1985 and I should be a lot better at AA. Especially as I've spent hundreds of hours flying the top combat flight sims over the last few years (since about 2005) - but I always fly air to ground, if I can. It's my fave and I have just never liked air to air combat.

THIS is more my thing. Or THIS.

Space combat is very similar to AA, with some differences due to lack of gravity, of course. I tend to do far better in space combat than the flight kind, but I doubt I'll ever be good at it.

It was several long recordings and I'm editing it down to something manageable. It'll be up on YT hopefully by this evening

It's not looking good - the video editing software I wasted £35 on (that I don't have, to waste) is pure tripe.

Supposedly award-winning, voted best of etc etc (don't they all say that?) and it's junk. Main current issues being

1 - it doesn't cut where I tell it to cut, and

2 - there's no sound output.

I've had issues with 2 before and got onto their 'support' (which is as dire as the product) but always end up having to work these things out for myself. I fixed the 'no sound' issue last time, but it doesn't apply to these videos.

This is why the world of commercial software is more and more of a rip-off. No demos to try out first and no returns - or you use the demo and it works great and as soon as you get the full monty, nothing works like it did in the demo.
