Hello,

Just finished getting allied to The Order Of Mobius. Now trying to get to rank 3 with Aisling Duval for prismatic shield and running rare trade for money to pay for shield and hull upgrade.
I would love to go into Hi-Res, Hi-CZ and Compromised Nav Beacon, but the last time I took my nearly A-grade python into a low-CZ I managed to get out with 2% hull after 3 encounters. The enemy python kept insisting on doing kamakazi runs on me. He blew up and I was left with 2% hull.
Not going into combat zones or res sites without combat grade hull.

Have fun, fly safe.

oooh which one? Shiny bammy white beams, shame that only Capitals can equip them ...

And yes, where can we find those compromised beacons, preferably close to Azrael?

In other news, I tend to try grinding for Rank 5 with A L-D in the next cycle. Hopefully the Crime Sweeps will be back ... anyone interested in a Wing, drop me a note. As always, as close to Azrael as possible.

I am currently docked in the Mors system. Hopefully it will still be on today. :)

EDIT: Oh don't bring anything that can't sit on an Outpost, small system only two Outposts in here. :(

ah, i've always wondered about that, how much damage did it do? i've never been sure if i should collect them or not.
worst case scenario - i forget about it and log off for the night, and come back next day to a destroyed ship

You need an AFMU. Some have 2, one to repair the other!
Every 30 seconds or so (varies) you get a toxic corrosion event on a random module, 1-2% damage. The more modules you have, the more it is spread around.
Small modules, in particular the cargo hatch can get much higher damage in a single event. It has been known for a UA to fall out at 85%, so that is the one to keep an eye on

You dont get a corrosion event during hyperspace, or the 5s countdown (but can during the charge) - this was how one UA was transported to SagA
While on a landing pad, in hanger or just signed out you dont get damage (you see toxic event warnings, but modules stay at 100 % while docked)

1.4 has them as Illegal and Stolen, so you have to smuggle into a station, and the increase in NPC interdictions for smuggling apply as well, so expect being chased by pirates, then fined if you get to the station and be scanned.
Selling on the black market seems to only yield 150,000 credits now as well.

More a labour of love than a money making tool. I made the 230ly just repairing essential systems and the cargo hatch using just less tham 1/4 of the ammo in an A3 AFMU, and did repair some systems I could have left alone

The worst bit is the Clipper has a range of 16ly, so doing alot of scooping, and the 1.4 NPCs seem to bend the rules a bit

And remember not to try and repair thrusters during supercruise...

Just spent a couple of hours killing 24 pirates for 2 million credits. Time for a bacon sandwich and then I have to do it all again because last night I over-optimistically stacked up loads of these mega pirate missions, not realising how long it would take. Can't let them expire.

Well, after a little bit of umming and ahhing this afternoon about what to do. I decided to head on back to Jamesion Memorial to work on my Rank with the Federation, as I'm only a mere Petty Officer and to run a few smuggler missions.

Shinrarta Dezhra's independant, i didn't think it would be of much help to you with Fed rankings - is there a Fed subfaction at Jameson?

after the Asp's partial failure on the Sothis smuggling trip (no armament and too small cargo space) i've now built cmdr clivewil a FAS for smuggling on the shorter local Cubeo route, and cmdr clivus has a new Python for the Sothis route. the next pirate who interdicts him is going to get 5 lasers up the left nostril. just yesterday's trip alone increased his trade rank from Broker 19% to 65%, that's a good result

Thought I'd take my new ship out for a test run today. Giving the FAS a try out as my new combat ship. Stuck 1 tonne of gold in the cargo slot and headed off to the nearest Haz Res,
Needless to say it got interesting pretty quick :D After a good thorough test including several wings, a wing of 2 pythons and a Conda. I can safely say what an awesome ship think Vulture on steroids. Great manoeuvrability packs a punch and can certainly take one. Shields are a bit on the weaker side but regen quickly.
Left the Res with 15% hull , 7 million credits and a further 25+ million credits when I sell my Vulture 8-)
