How is your feeling about the Anaconda's agility? Does a PA make sense?

I have just bought a second anaconda to use for combat , its not done yet so have it parked in diaguandri, I will at least buy the a8 power plant before I move it from there.
Was going for mostly c rated for now but has actually ended up being mostly A rated.
I believe this is the current build

Tried 4 beams but just doesn't really agree with me anymore so I end up as always being very boring and just going with pulse lasers and figured i might as well try the cannon.

Its actually working quite nicely and the agility is rather surprisingly I haven't even much problem keeping the gimballed lasers on smaller targets like eagles and vipers, sometimes it even felt more nimble than my a rated python, I suspect that if I where the add armour up the wazoo this would change.

So far money well spent :)

Maybe I will finally change both Python and FDL for an Annie ...

Donna (my python) is a permanent staple in my fleet, you must always have a python imo after you hit a certain credit balance.

I find it excells at mission running or BH in systems with only medium pads.
Freya is probably less agile than my python but this felt fairly good and I was probably holding a few 100m further away than with my python.

But you don't really need to fire the big guns at eagles etc, the turrets are plenty alone :)
But I can say this that I engaged a few vultures today and they blast chaff like they where in gay pride parade, deselecting them as a target and aiming my lasers as if they where fixed was no problem so chaffing was still dead vulture.

In the end you will have to just try and see how it's like, if you don't you can turn the anaconda into a trader (my other conda has 432t cargo, about as much shields as an fdl and a jump range close to 19ly laden) or it could be an explorer with 39ly Max range easy.
The conda is a very very flexible ship.

I have the PA on my Conda and it does take some getting used to timing and aiming wise but once you get the hang of it, it is superb.
Small ships are one shot kills, bigger ships have shields obliterated with one or 2 shots.
I run 3 x 3C Gimballed Beams and the C4 fixed PA along with 2 x C2 Gimballed Multi Cannons up front and seeker missiles on the rear small hard points (great for small ships that run away) It is ridiculously effective, especially in CZ's .

Agility wise it is as easily manoeuvrable as the Python, admittedly its no FDL or Vulture and requires a different play style.
Small ships will try and circle around you but you can always catch them with FA off and once weapons come to bear on them then it is game over.

As is stated elsewhere it is a hugely capable ship in many roles. Day to day mine is a trader 432 tons, all the above weapons. If I want to take it into a fight then all that gets changed is the shields. Trading its an A5, combat is A7 shields plus a couple of SCB's.

When I was new to the game, I was RES hunting in my cobra, and I attacked a wanted sidewinder without noticing the "wing 3/3". I was hot on his tale, when my spider sense started tingling... I checked my rear-view mirrors, and paled with fear. The sidewinder was winged with another sidewinder and a deadly anaconda... The following ensued, with me thinking "FUUUUUUUUCK RUN AWAAAAAAY!"Image I resolved then and there to buy an anaconda ASAP.
