I nearly clipped CMDR Pil55ken on my exit out too. He had declared his intention but I did not see a clear message. So I declared my intention to exit and started exiting. At that point I came face to face with a Conda, followed closely by a Python coming in, I came to a full stop and vectored down. Then I saw The T9 coming in and tried to get out of the way.
I really hope more CMDRs would declare their intentions, execute, then state when they are clear. Would make life in crowded stations that much more fun and easier.

Have fun, fly safe.

Ah must have been your conda I followed out through the letterbox which is why I didn't see that T9 til very late! :D

I have really been enjoying Neville Horizons over the last few days - with everyone exchanging messages as they enter and exit, it has really added an extra dimension to the game. Your minor accident if anything just adds more to it !

I tend to agree Fetlocke and if I had been responsible for anyone's demise I'd be more than happy to compensate the insurance via their commodity of choice* :)

Solution is quite simple, in a busy port don't go faster than 99Ms.
If someone crashes into you and die it will be their fault.

Considering how I fly the one crashing into you is probably going to be me :D
I tend to undock/dock as if i started the fire.
In my own butt.
And twelve burly firemen with a golden shower fetish is chasing me...

interesting analogy there.. but I've done the same dock/undock with a clipper a few times.. usually when smuggling.

Just remember if you drop your speed down to 88 you can go back in time until before you crashed.

As loriath mentions, keep to the green (right side as your going in/out, if it helps you silly Brits can turn your ships upside down thus putting the green on the left)

And most ships can go a lot more to the right than you believe , especially the anaconda.
And the t9 can go a lot closer to the right than most people do, in fact the docking computer leave some room to spare.

If two anacondas keep to their outmost right through the mailslot you have actually enough space in the middle to fit a python.. I have done just that :D

Another tip, as you go out, apply rudder to the right, the cage widens out like a funnel and doing so will also point you away and out of oncoming traffic.
