No, I'm one of the few who are completely underwhelmed by Horizons. I'll prob wait until about 2.3 before thinking about buying.

Yeah the AMDs are HOT beasts, but that's not a bad thing 'coz last winter it was the only heating I needed for my cottage - mining means at least partial subsidy of power costs, even though I tend to spend it on .... well, let's just say I'm not unfamiliar with the 'dark markets' ;)

Well...Just ordered my xmas prezzy........

http://www.ebuyer.com/620275-benq-gl276 ... -lc8la-tbe

I would have liked to have gone ultra wide or 4k....But do not have the funds at the moment.....

At least I can now get rid of the old 19" 4:3 secondary monitor and use this one instead.....23" LED.....

:)

LMAO that is the same monitor I just picked up for my Wife. It's a good little piece of kit. Colour is really good for an inexpensive monitor. I am stuck with a 24" as my old 23" died this spring and I picked up what I could afford at the time. Then later this summer hers started to crap all over (lots of Blue Pixels, and no reds) so I went hunting for a deal. Picked it up for her and she was surprised by the size. But it bought me breathing room since I had picked up the X52 Pro, new speakers and a new mouse as well as my monitor earlier in the year.

I looked at a 34" 1440p today and I must say I drooled a little. I didn't look at the price because I am old and old people have heart problems that can crop up when startled. That and the fact that if I did, I may have been foolish enough to bring it home and therefore lose my testicles before Christmas:)

Would definitely need an upgrade to run it. But Wow was it nice to look at. I can see one of those in my future after a new PC.

Sheesh what a coincidence.....Glad to know it's not a dog.....I was looking around for a while at all the sites and reading reviews etc for ages....Finally plumped for that one......4/5 on Techradar and 9/10 on Trusted reviews.....

Just ordered a double arm desk mount as well, to clear up some desk space.....

And yea some of them bigger monitors are absolutely stunning.....But as you say so is the price tag and like you I maybe old(ish)...

And even though my bollocks are rarely used now days....I would still like to keep them attached......

:D

I got to admit the 34" ultra wide is sweet, but its honestly and this is a little hard to admit.
Kind of too big..
Well part of that might be the fact it takes up most of the depth of my desk, so going to stick a shelf up on the wall so I can have my desk back, but it is very nice to have potential height adjustment at least with this VA panel.

That and the sticker shock is setting in, i am honestly considering returning it and looking at a 27" one with g-sync instead.

Where I got it has like a 45 day no questions asked return policy so I can deal with that after the new years.

Barring a relapse I think my fever finally passed :)

It would be nice to have a desk at home, or even a gaming den. The closest was my old desktop in the shed running as a file server (until the roof leaked).
Could play while sitting on a box. Project for 2016. New lawnmower storage (gaming shed to anyone but the wife)

Have been having problems with my 5yr old laptop and Horizons (I usually play from a Mk1 Sofa with laptop and Hotas) and occasionally get to connect to the tv via HDMI (when there are not prats in the jungle and such like)

So went and got this (arrived yesterday)

Feeling poorer now, but a beast it is. Portable desktop is an accurate description. The PSU alone is bigger than a housebrick.

I've got a GTX 660 which was 'ok' on season one but is now struggling on Horizons. My mouse cursor has paused a few times over a high end GPU on Amazon....... Maybe after Christmas when the credit card has stopped bouncing.
