What are Frontier thinking about? This is just confusing and at worst a deliberate attempt to confuse. They need to be far stricter on this, they have already made a mess of the commander names. The other night I met a Jame.son! Now people paid big bucks to have the name Jameson during the kickstarter. Allowing crap like that to slip through isn't right at all.

Has anyone contacted someone at Frontier to raise this?

I agree it shouldn't be allowed as it's confusing as hell. Glad I joined when there was only the one!

Strangely enough though, you have to admire someones determination to be an asshat in that they have to request a new character name from Frontier and get it approved just so they can create a new group name the same as ours. Takes all sorts...

I've been thinking about this and you know what this come backs to Frontier not being strict enough when they approved Commander names. There is obviously a Commander Mobius. out there who wants to start a group. Now at the moment groups are automatically named after the commander who starts them. Hence our lovely group is called Mobius. Now Mobius. maybe does just want to start a group but it's confusing. Why did Frontier allow such similar names to be approved? If they had been tighter on this we wouldn't have ended up with a Mobius. at all.

Alfred E. Neuman is fine it's A1fred E. Neuman or Alfred E, Neuman that is the problem. Basically people have used punctuation to cheat the naming system.
