Hi. Thanks for the tips, everyone.

So I went to test my build but I logged into Team Speak and got some tips so I changed it. I am down to 88t of cargo, as I have turned a class 5 slot into 32t more fuel, and put 3A shields in a class 3 slot. Per the tips I got in Team Speak I headed to Robigo, which was about 370Ly away and I got there without having to refuel, which was nice. I clycled the bulletin board for missions, went to Sothis, did the same and went back to Robigo and did it again there. My cargo was not nearly full, and the credits per ton were under 1mil, but mind you I was Merchant rank when I got there. I didn't want to spend too much time filling up cargo as this was my first time doing this long range shadow deliveries, and since one single scan could ruin the dream, I didn't wanna risk too much time and effort on my first try.

I am glad to report that I was able to make all the deliveries safely, I evaded a lot of interdictions and lost one, but fortunately it was a pirate and not a cop, and I was able to boost away, the shields certainly helped as I was masslocked 10:1. Twice when I dropped into a delivery station, there would be a pirate there waiting for me, shot me on sight but stopped once I got into the No Fire Zone. No scans even started on me. Most of the delivery places were green from me being friendly, I guess this helps to not get scanned, right? Half of the deliveries were to outposts, so I delivered them first as it's safer. When I got to the big stations, three of them were not green, but no scans anyway, I guess I got lucky too.

I was able to deliver 49t of cargo which netted me 33mil credits. To celebrate I bought and outfitted a Vulture to do some bounty hunting on the side. But since my rank upped to Broker, I will do this run again soon, as I think it will be potencially much more profitable.

Someone said in TS that I should get one small weapon, for that when a scan starts if I deploy hardpoints the security vessel will stop the scan and also deploy hardpoints. I was already underway so I didn't implement this change. Does it really work?

Thank you again for the replies.

I happily take the fines because there is no need to pay them. Basically you have 6 days to pay fines, if they start to rack up, just buy a sidewinder and store your ship. Then blow yourself up in the sidewinder and pay its rebuy cost, then get back in your ship and sell the sidewinder for about 28k.

And hey ho clean slate, back in your ship and only paid out about 5k credits.

Personally I don't think you need so much cargo for a smuggler. A) the missions take a while to accumulate, B) the more you have the more you are going to be hasselled along the way by pirates and cops, and C) range is uber important as you often won't get the chance to scoop because people keep interdicting you. I reccomend the 64 ton cargo bay, an additional 32 ton fuel tank, and a 3A fuel scoop. Range and speed are all important. Get the best thrusters and power distributer though you can stick to the 4D power plant. 2 small beem lasers are enough armamnets and have a chaff launcher and a couple of heat sinks.
Aim to please; shoot to kill.
