Hope the above is useful somehow. Take a break , come back when you"re renewed.

I've followed every lead presented both here and on Steam.

FD still contends that I don't own Elite Dangerous and as such Horizons won't run. They also double charged me for a paint job for the clipper I don't own in the game I don't have.

Screen shots from their own web page showing the keys have been redeemed, screen shots of my 600 hours play time, screen shots of the keys in my account on steam, copies of the receipts for both games seem to be falling on deaf ears. And the really stupid part is I was playing Elite yesterday and simply logged out of the launcher to see if I could get the Horizons launcher to work and now I don't own the game anymore?

I ran the file check in Steam verifying all the files, no luck and then I uninstalled it and re-downloaded the whole things and still nothing.

Endless verification loop. :(

It sounds like the Steam database and the Frontiers database aren't talking to each other at least as far as your account is concerned. Give the FD support an earful - hope they fix the bug very soon.

Today I called Frontier Deveopements. It was 5:30 am here in Virginia and it was 10:30 am out their way. They don't have an telephone support its only via the internet. However, the woman I spoke to was very sympathetic and gave me her personal company email and asked me to forward all correspondence to her so she could pass it on to the support supervisor. She also gave me the email address for the tier 2 support team support@zaonce.net and asked me to forward to them all correspondence.

Exactly 45 minutes after calling I was contacted by someone that assured me they would get to the bottom of it. I'd really like to resolve this and I am very tenacious and won't stop at anything to get what I feel I deserve. I would book a flight to the UK and speak to them directly if it came to that.

I thought the same thing so I tried it. (when I was able to log on) I took my power plant offline and was able to move and shoot until my caps were drained and then I stopped dead in space.

So while it appears its cheating it is actually running off its capacitor charges.

That's great news! It sounds like you have an advocate at FD.... finally. :(

I hope they get it resolved for you today so that you get back to the fun!

Well, I finally manged to do this:

So, I've decided to sell my combat Python, and head out for another exploration run. This time I plan to go toward the core, as my previous trips have all been along our galactic arm.

So, I bought this to help me get there. After all, one must look stylish in case one encounters any aliens out in the black. :D

Sounds like a resolution is very near - and I"m very glad of it. Customer support is everything and companies sometimes forget that. Before Chelsea left SC, support there was superb & now that she's gone it's gone to the dogs :(

Looks like someone in the FD CS is going to get a memo soon, they should have escalated it right there and then.

The problem with the Viper3 is that it's very good at one thing and not much else. With Azrael in a boom state and every trade mission bringing 2x the amount of influence increases, I've moved my Viper4 there and started picking up every Order mission in sight.

Rafferty's was out of them unfortunately, had to land in Searle port to get a couple of good ones. Blew one NPC ship out of the sky when it interdicted me , was in a real hurry :) On the multi-stage delivery mission - the one where you find things and bring it back - I got intercepted by some pretty large ships. One had a mass of 10 & the other 17 and if it wasn't for my Viper 4's good speed & nice jump range the night would have ended pretty differently.

Searle is in a state of famine and charity food missions should be popping up soon , those have a nice influence bonus though no cash rewards. With the Order's influence level at 71.5% , every little bit helps to get it to 75% and into an expansion state.

I've named my Viper4 "Tikbalang" - a legendary creature in our native folklore. They are said to be great travellers so it suits the ship perfectly :)
