NPC Ramming

Postby DustKart » Sat Nov 15, 2014 1:20 pm

So, whilst ditching my cargo runs and preparing for betamageddon I decided to do some shooting.

I became victim to a well discussed, but not personally experienced, problem of NPCs ramming me for insta-death.
One Cobra and one Viper. Both late into the fight and getting a kicking. Head on joust.....BOOM!!!

Now I do appreciate that I can learn from this and dodge the mutha fudgers but I know if I tried to do it as a tactic I would be the one going BOOM!!! again!

/end rant

:D

Yep...Happened to me more than enough.....

If it looks like you are going head to head...Just use the thrusters........I generally just whack on my left or right one...with a bit of yaw and pitch whilst keeping the target in view....basically anything so you are not flying head to head........

The bastards that hit you from the side is another matter....You must be aware of what is around you.....Look at the scanner often.....It can be hard in combat....But you really have to make time to avoid these twats..........

Touch wood not been rammed in a while....Quite a few have tried though......

Tor.....Hold on.......Tor.......Wait a bit.....TOR will you stop fecking firing.......Ok......Tor I know a therapist that can help you....... :D My Cmdr also has small feet

This aspect of the game is the most annoying. Since when can a Sidewinder with 5 percent of its hull left, ram a fully shielded and undamaged Cobra and get away with it.

It doesn`t make sense.
