You should also have got at least an Eagle (like every beta backer). Go to a shipyard and check the first tab on the right (Stored Ships, I think). There you'll see what you got and where it is.
I read in another thread that if it's tens or hundreds of light years away (like mine), you can reset your save to respawn it in the same system you start, but I didn't try that yet.
