Well I'm now wanted for murder in Wyrd, after visiting the Engineer to see what they wanted, I thought I'd pop into the HiRES that's there, well everything was going fine and dandy until I got a bit over zealous and opened fire before my scan had finished (blame the Doombar), I disengaged and buggered off out of there, but whilst I was departing the security killed the guy and I got the murder bounty! :x

After that everything got a bit hectic, got interdicted by a FAS in the next system (first interdiction in 2.1), my select sub-system button kept causing the nav menu to pop up, then I realised my pips were still set from my previous running away session, when I tried to change pips I hit cycle target instead, I hit a SCB (again first time in the FDL in 2.1) and nearly fried my ship, finally I gave up and high waked out with no shields, 80% hull and a bunch of module damage (mostly from the SCB) :?

After hanging around in the next system for my shields to recharge I jump to the nearest populated system (Barnards Star), and head for the nearest station to repair, I'm just about to drop out and I get interdicted again, this time it's a Vulture. Well I'm more prepared this time, and his shields go down quickly, he's at 40% and I still have a shield ring, then the fecker rams me, he goes pop and I'm left with 20% hull. :x

Make it to the station and fork out 70K in repairs, sell the SCB (clearly the FDL now runs too hot for them and I'm not giving up a booster for heat sinks).

Will still have made a million or so in bounties this evening (when I can get back into Wyrd to collect them that is), but odd that the interdictions started after visiting the Dweller, or maybe I'm paranoid

Well, you have a bounty on your head now, so they ARE out to get you ;)

But thanks for proving that Murphy and Finnagle are still alive in 3302.

And welcome to weird Wyrd.

Yeah, when I first saw that video I thought maybe he managed to clip an asteroid or something, since in a Python it can sometime be hard to gauge where your whole ship is.

However, because you can see his shields taking fire, and you can see the red enemy icon on the scanner lighting up, it seems pretty likely that it was that ship's fire that did him in.

I haven't lost a ship (yet) in 2.1, but I have been taking a lot more damage than usual. I faced off against a pair of Adders last night. Before 2.1, that would have been a 1-minute battle for me. This time, they flew pretty well, and one of them had a PA or RG (I can never tell the difference) so it was costly.

The other thing I've noticed is that whenever I lose shields, I get a *lot* (a WHOLE FRAKKING LOT) of module damage. Many of my modules are down below 30%, and I am getting constant malfunctions on my lasers. I don't recall my ship doing that to other ships when I get their shields down. Is this something that an Engineer mod can do? Maybe I'm just taking more heat damage than I thought?

LOL, well in theory the bounty is local, and these were both "You have something I want" interdictions, even though I had no cargo (or even cargo racks), did they want the materials I've collected?

What's also weird (Wyrd), the bounty doesn't say it's for Wyrd, it's for one of those odd cartographic names, BD-blah-blah etc.

A lot of the weapons have had their penetration improved, and missiles now also do burst damage that effects things like your weapons. I've noticed a lot more NPCs using missiles since 2.1.

That's why I added a point defense turret to my Vulture. Some say you really need two, but one has been shooting down a lot of stuff. And that's another reason why all ships need a lot more freaking utility mounts (not that a Vulture has power to spare).
It's time to give this another go.

It would not surprise me at all if the materials were counted towards the probability of getting intercepted. I left HIP 10716 with about a quarter million bounty on my head, and did not have any problems with interdictions. Of course, that was in 2.0, not in 2.1

The controlling faction in Wyrd is the Alliance of BD+47 2112, so you will probably be hunted in both systems. Unfortunately, neither Wyrd nor BD+47 2112 have a space outpost where you can pay off the fine easily. The days of "your presence will not be tolerated, enemy: Docking permissions granted" are over :(

As I have said in previous posts........

Elite just got dangerous.....

Although even playing in beta it wasn't THIS dangerous.....

I'm taking hideous amounts of damage....Shields are stripped in no time and hull and modules are getting fucked rather quickly.....

Two " seasoned " pilots should be able to take down a master adder......Nope........

Dawg died....I escaped with 6% hull......In my fecking Asp.........

I used everything I know on the fucker.........I could not get an AOA on him.......He stuck to my arse like glue.....

Always behind me.......

Now for us who have been playing a while it's a ramp up........

Maybe as I'm finding out an unfair one......Their weapons seem to deal so much more damage.......

But for anyone new to the game......Jesus........Yet again the learning curve just got steeper.....

Other than that the A-Team winged up and went searching for materials that we wanted......

And we laughed.........We always laugh........

Oh and Lori gave us all a meta alloy.....So we could go see Fliss.......

But combat has become a *Bitch*......

Well done to the pilots that got Elite in combat before.....

Because those not there yet are going to have a rough and rocky road to travel......

As always still loving it.......

:D
Image

Tor.....Hold on.......Tor.......Wait a bit.....TOR will you stop fecking firing.......Ok......Tor I know a therapist that can help you....... :D My Cmdr also has small feet

Yeah, I had one PD on my Python when I took all that module damage. I plan to pay more attention to my modules after each fight to try to understand what is causing it, and add another PD if necessary.
