It's likely going to be a few more days until I'm back in inhabited space, I might make the run to prove I can live in a 'Dangerous' universe :)
If I bottle it I'll let you know!

something to note, certain hardpoints on the conda are very bad for mines, because they spew out in FRONT of you for some stupid reason

Well ... Got interdicted by a Conda yesterday. Fitted me Python with mines to see if the rumors were right. Flew a straight line. My fsd was charging because I failed to evade.

Instantly my shields got eaten and saw missiles on my radar. Pushed the button on my 5 mine launchers and watched the stats on the conda in target panel.

Saw his shields drop rapidly. More missiles so pushed again and again. Saw his hull go down and then .... Materials floating no more Conda.

Wanted to go back scooping but I guess 50-70 mines might have been overkill. There was a mine field still. Oh well showed him !

From "The 70 Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries":
#37 There is no overkill. There is only "Open fire" and "I need to reload".

Rules of acquisition 23 comes to mind.

Nothing is more important than your health... except for your money.

yeah i'm almost done with it too, i have probably about 15 hrs in-game since 2.1 dropped, previously i'd do that much in just a couple of days or so. lately i'll log on and then think about what awaits me, or the server will fail to bring up the mission list, or i'll get a persistent interdictor after 'all that tasty cargo' that i'm not carrying, and then i'll quit shortly afterwards and do something else

the 'git gud' crowd seem to think that if we learn to fly against the new ai and start scoring kills then we will suddenly think it's all great and enjoyable again - that is definitely not the case, for me at least. i've won every fight and succeeded in every escape so far in 2.1, but at no point did i think "wow, this is great fun, better than before"

combat used to be rather 'take it or leave it' under 2.0, if you needed to fight you could reach a resolution in around a minute, then get back to what you were doing. if you wanted something harder, you'd head to the CZ. under 2.1 the fights can go anywhere from a couple of minutes to 25 minutes, which is my longest so far... for me combat is now too drawn out, too difficult to get away from a constant interdictor, and often downright unbelievable (you got my shields down in one hit? really? what bullshit)

i'm currently playing Evochron Legacy while i wait for No Man's Sky to drop...

Viking rule numero uno.

"Pillage, THEN BURN"

Sadly game designers don't know this rule.

Hey I'm Thor -
People call me Bob.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.
