Some good advice up there ^^

Engineers are the best way forward. Pretty much a must now. Either drives and shields to boost away, or pretty much everything to fight. Or mines to do both, but never had much success myself.

Lugging around engineers commodities does attract a bit of attention.
Really annoying when you get the added mission ones as well.

Have given up with the KWS scans, except in a RES, and fighting interdictions seems a waste of time.

In the Asp, I just run. Only engage with the engineered Cutter now (and that should be a capital E)
Stock ships just dont seem to cut it any more. I suspect there will be another balance pass with the next update.

But engineering takes time, and luck

Great videos Darwin and John Luke, looks like you hand out to NPCs what they do to me lol. What level of upgrade do you have on the beam laser if you don't mind me asking. Its seems a shame when you spend millions on an A rated ship only to have it ripped to pieces in seconds though.

Once again thanks everyone for your input its nice to see and hear what others are going through and how they sort it.

For my Class 3 Beam Turret, it is lightweight mount G2, but was a good roll on distributer draw and thermal load decreases, without too much loss of integrity, that I then cashed in a favour to make green - regeneration sequence (healing beam)

Used it in a CZ to charge up a wingmans shield. A python from broken regenerating to fully charged was less than 30s - lost the video due to shadowplay upgrade issues.

light weight C3 Beam with regeneration sequence
efficient C2 Pulse with scramble spectrum
efficient C2 pulse with thermal shock
increased ammo C3 multi-cannon with corrosive shell
increased ammo C4 multi-canonn with incendiary rounds
increased ammo C2 multi-canonn with corrosive shell

And a G4 Charge Enhanced Distributer to power it all.

One thing I have noticed is that NPCs seem to have spiderman senses.
Got rammed a lot, and lost out when trying to ram an Elite NPC Anaconda, he was tougher...

They have almost stopped trying to ram now after the hull / armour / shield reinforcement went up a wee bit.

I did read somewhere that stacking special effects does nothing.....

So you might as well have 1 x incendiary and 1 x corrosive and the rest normal....

Certainly true for the thermal / scramble effects, not entirely convinced with the others on an mc - they are more temporary effects and rely on you actually hitting the target to work...

The increased magazine capacity on all is a great thing, and they have other desirable effects over standard, in either reduced distributer draw or thermal load or damage.

I also use the C2s on other ships, but need somewhere to store them. I am running out of ships to store 'spare' upgraded modules of various flavours, compounded with lugging around 65T of engineer stuff means swapping ships is getting difficult. Will have to have a clear out soon ;)

My main ship is my Python. She's A-graded and has G5 mods on pretty much all her internal components.

My philosophy is that whatever she can't out gun she can outrun. That was pre 2.1, after 2.1 I used mods to stick to that philosophy.

The damn Elite Condas that intradict you are a real pain in the ass. They keep spamming SCBs and Chaff and keep trying to ram you. Once they start doing the spam dance I just run.

There was once that after engaging one of these Condas and running, the same Conda intradicted me again. But this time his shields had gone down a ring and he seemed to have taken some damaged (which I can only assume was due to the heat generated from spamming SCBs). This time though I went for the kill.

For some reason I have started to get the feeling that the AI in CZs have gotten a bit easier. They still nearly always carry PACs and Rails, but seem less prone to use chaff and SCBs.

Currently for my Python, I'm running 2 C2G Beams with light weight mount + Thermal vent, 2 C3G Multis - lvl 5 overcharged + Thermic rounds + Corrosive rounds, and 1 C3G Canon with efficient weapon mod + High yield shells.

Thinking of switching one of the beams to Thermal shock though.

Hi all Just a little update after reading all your posts.

I bought another Python so i could off load my modded weapons on to it.

Then i filled my original Python with mine launchers. Outcome of playing for a while last night...... one interdiction one kill to me = RESULT

Thanks again guys will be thinking about the engineer mods now and putting the great information shared by you to good use.
