Yup, you are correct, it doesn't stack. Having corrosive on more than one m/c is a waste of DPS.

I'm not certain but, although most stuff doesn't stack.. some of the "nice things" have a higher chance of proc if put on multiple weapons - example: scramble spectrum thing.. (y'know the one that can make your targets stuff malfunction randomly), I understand that you double the chance of it proc'ing if you have it on two weapons... but it will still only last for the standard length of time...and can only proc off one weapon. Damn... did that make sense???

While playing with special effects, don't forget that quite a few of them come at the cost of lower DPS. The numbers are shown here.
