Ship poll: What are you flying?

Anaconda but tricked out for trading, no weapons, light components, 432 Tons cargo.

I fly a class A Asp. I also have a Cobra parked somewhere (mostly class B), but I'm afraid it must be starting to rust. And then I buy other ships depending on my needs (like a Sidey to do a photo shoot or a T6 to run some rares) and sell them back a couple of hours or days later.

I tried the Python and the Clipper during the 1.1 beta, and I think I'll keep the Asp for a while, unless I really fall for the Vulture or the Fer de Lance.

Viper.

Just weighed my Cobra in.

I liked the Cobra Mk III because it brought back memories.

And it was the only ship you could fly in the original.

Thus the memories...

But the Viper suits me hands down.

It's good to see different Commanders have their favourites.

I started with A Cobra and got that to a class A ship. She was lovely, really like everything about it. And as Avago-Earo said, brings back memories and really should have kept it. Got a T6 with a class A FSD and did trading in that, until I have enough money that I sold all the equipment on both ships and traded in for a Asp.

So currently running a class D Asp with a class A FSD, and just trying to build up enough money to upgrade it as much as I can. Not sure I will go any bigger ship wise, although will take a good look at the Fer De Lance. Do keep feeling I should have kept the Cobra, but then I go somewhere with the massive jump range of the Asp and I forgive it. Just want 30 mil for parts.

It's a Type 7 for me at the moment. Normal ship is an Asp but I decided to build up more cash before 1.2 hits in the hope of being able to afford one of the new ships. Well, it's something to do.

I fly the Type 7 without shields to get 232 canisters in it. That makes sure you stay awake when you are flying fully loaded with Palladium.

Viper with mostly A grade components, 2 lasers and 2 multi-cannons. It's just fun to fly, quick, deadly and can take on anything up to an Asp without too much trouble although I did get my arse burned by 2 asps and a cobra that managed to single me out in a warzone. Managed to take them all out in the end with my hull still at 60%. I was very pleased as the cobra and one Asp were Dangerous and the other Asp was Elite and he took a fair bit of killing I can tell you!

An Asp coz it's so flexible 88 cargo with beams, multicanons and medium rails great for running rares and defending yourself. Sold the viper when the 1.1 heat management issue cropped up. Still have fully kitted Cobra parked up at Tenche after the gold rush that was seeking luxuries.

but I will try a cobra now (keeping my beloved Freagle of course) as some sort of explorer/cargo/heavier wepon platform. Sounds fun. Still, that will always be my second ship ...
