The only thing the Vulture has that the Corvette lacks is the front cockpit. I like being able to look up in the Vulture (using a head tracker obviously makes a difference, here). In the Corvette, you just look at the ceiling.

I can see the Corvette getting nerfed if it's that manoeuvrable, it's more than 50% heavier than an Anaconda with the same thrusters.

Better not be, it's a warship. if they nerf it then it becomes a completely pointless ship you might aswell just buy a Conda.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you, but you know FD...

For me the looks, manoeuvrability, speed, armour, weapons, cargo space and the ability to land at outposts, is what makes the Python the go to ship.
Fit her with a fuel scoop and she goes anywhere I want her to. Probably won't get there as fast as a Conda or Asp. If there are some places that's too Long of a jump for her, I don't need to go there.
I don't even have a separate ship to do exploring, trading (well now I have the Cutter for that) or fighting (CZs, Res). If I want her to do something specific I just go to the nearest outfitter and swap her modules.
Basically my home is where my Python is. :)
I used to lug a fleet around, Asp, Courier, Vulture and Cobra. Sold all of them for my Python and never even felt a twinge of regret. Have a Cobra now, cause I promised myself I would get one for old times sake. Have a Cutter cause, why not? Trying to get a Vette now, cause I like having goals in a game, makes playing more interesting.

P.S.: I'm always wondered what would happen to the big ships if E : D became more Sim like and have the Pilots experience g-forces and the manoeuvring thruster's size were proportional to the amount of manoeuvrability the big ships have.

I would say the vette is slightly slower, to maybe on par with a heavy python.
That is if you are careful not to exceed 1700T mass with A rated thrusters.
This puts a crimp in fitting and especially armor plating. 3D HRP's and mil spec and you are pretty much there..

I was thinking earlier and even with as nice as the vette is, a good vulture pilot would still stay in my blind spot with ease.
It's a combination of small factors that makes it so awesome.

It's slightly, just slightly more manoeuvrable than the conda.
The weapon placement is much better apart from the one class 3 hard point.
The conda pretty much restrict you to turrets since all but two large are out of sight.
Visibility, even though you have the rear top position cockpit you see much less ship and more space in the vette than the conda so it feels smaller.
In fact you have a more obscuring cockpit in the viper mkIV than the vette.

People call me Bob.

Rule 1: Pillage. Then burn.
Rule 2: No such thing as overkill, as long as there are reloads.

Nope. I have a fleet and like them all. :)
It's time to give this another go.

I like my Type 7 transporter. But looking forward to when I can afford a fully knitted out Type 9 :)

Mine is the Python as well. I love the look of it and its the ship i wanted since I started playing the game. Sure I have other ships, but 95% of the time I find myself in the Python.

I really wanted to like FDL, and have tried it three times. Once before 1.5 and twice now in 1.5/2.0. I just cant click with it for some reason. I have tried numerous load-outs and it just inst a ship for me as much as I would love to like it.

I was the same, really wanted to like it pre 1.5/2.0 but hated it, however I'm really getting into it now, took a while to get the right load out, but at the moment really enjoying it.

I currently have mine equipped with a C3 Beam, and the rest F2 Multi-Cannons.

That's the first load out I tried, now I have 1 x large pulse, 2 x medium beams, 2 x medium multi (all gimballed). I bring down the shield with the beams and pulse, then switch to multis and pulse.

I find one capacitor charge is enough to bring down the shields, then the pulse and multis go on for ever. On small ships I don't even bother swapping fire groups.
