Exactly 45 minutes after calling I was contacted by someone that assured me they would get to the bottom of it. I'd really like to resolve this and I am very tenacious and won't stop at anything to get what I feel I deserve. I would book a flight to the UK and speak to them directly if it came to that.

I need a better joystick too, the X55 hurts my wrists when I pew pew. I broke them both, twice due to a myopic car driver on one occasion and a suicidal 18st pedestrian on the other. So I suffer from achey bones. Thus I am in search of a better joystick that doesnt hurt my wrists. The x55 is too stiff to yaw. Maybe pedals...

Ditto, this is kind of ridiculous.
I have only needed to contact few support once and that was for a hiccup between the many stores I had to run through due to FD store forwarding to steam forwarding to Mastercard, back to steam back to FD store and I got double dipped for my vulture paint packs.
I sent a ticket saying I'd happily swap one of those for a python pack and not 15 minutes later it was sorted and I had the python paints available.

I got a Frontier developer respond to my posts on Steam and I also talked to a Support Manager at FD
The problem has been resolved and it was all my fault
Way back when the game was first announced I opened an acct for that I thought to be for the forums. I created Cmdr Black Rose as my user name and I used an email that always use strictly for forums. Now, allot of companies make a user create an account for a game and another acct for the forums. FD does not do this. There is one account for everything, but I didn't know that.
Ok so I bought Elite Dangerous back in September of 2015 and redeemed the key on the acct I created at FD, the same acct I used for the forums and it worked. But then I thought I needed a seperate acct for the game so I created another one using my regular email. Now when I 1st logged into the launcher I logged in with the 1st email and I set it to stay logged in all the time.
Now fast forward to this passed Friday and I got the horizons dlc and I redeemed the key on the 2nd acct. as I totally forgot about the 1st
Now we all know that Horizons, as DLC will not run without ED base but all that FD could see was Horizons DLC on the acct and as such redeem code loop. Then when I logged off the launcher and tried to log back in I was using the wrong email.
Of course the 1st tier tech support couldn't figure this out even after I sent them both keys for the games.
At any rate it has been resolved and I am actually in game right now
