1.1 Date?

Not yet. Honestly, I hope they don't rush it, still needs a lot of testing, especially the community goals. Or they can just wait to put that stuff in the 1.2 build while they still refine it.

I'm not actually sure how many people are trying to do the community goals in the Beta. Frontier are asking for folk to take a fair bit of time out of playing the main game to test the Beta and at the moment the goals are fairly uninspiring in my view. The city lights look very nice though.

I played for a little bit but then dropped back into the main game.

After testing in Alpha, Beta and Gamma I did not really want to spend a week testing again. Just wanted to get on a play.

I did dabble in exploration to see the nice fixes with that for the sell page, being the first to "discover" a system, improved route planning, etc. I just didn't really understand or get hocked on the Community Goal thing. Must be daft, but even after reading and rereading the food drive one in Dalton Gateway I gave up and haven't done anything. But at least I will test the mechanic of signing up for it and making sure I don't get credit for the even if/when it is done.

The problem with the food community goal in Dalton is that the station produces lots of food, which adds to the confusion.

Also, the community goal says that you have to deliver food to Dalton Gateway, but a GalNet news says that you have to deliver it to one of the outposts in the system whose name escapes me now. The GalNet news is wrong, and the food has to be delivered to Dalton Gateway. But it also has to have been bought elsewhere.

If you buy food from Dalton Gateway and sell it back there, you just lose money and the goal doesn't advance. But if you bought the food from a different system, you can then sell it to Dalton's commodity market and then the goal will advance.

And yep Galnet was full of shite......Full cargo hold and could not even land there...Pads not big enough.....

Community goal complete.....I stayed in the top 5%.....Got rewarded 32,000 credits and 10% off Metals for 7 days.......

Fuel cost was 26,000 and probably more than that coz I'm sure I topped up once.....Even if I didn't....Bit Shite seeing as I lost money on every trade.....

10% off metals is not bad....But I think if carrying 464T's of high value metals....I might as well just paint a few bullseyes on the ship and broadcast it over Galnet....Coz everyone and his brother is gonna want a piece.....

Yeah, the rewards don't really scale very well yet. Hopefully that is some of the feedback they are getting to improve this mechanic overall.
