Is it broken, or am I just using it wrong?
I seem to recall that you could use it to set a maximum jump distance when route plotting....

It requires you have actual cargo slots, and it doesn't work if you are plotting destination in the system map.
For instance it seem to reset to max if you go into system and plot course to a station rather than just plotting to the system in the galaxy map
