Incoming Missile!

A few days ago I was in Beta Sculptoris and after entering the station, I got an "Incoming Missile" warning.

My Point Defense shot it down and no stray shots hit the station. Even if it did, I was prepared to terminate the game within a second, so it wouldn't have done any harm even if the station did aggro.

Just mentioning this in case there's been an infiltration (I heard there was some talk about it after the Reddit discussion a while back), as firing a missile at a player with Point Defense in a station is a common griefing tactic.

Thats pretty worrying, no way an NPC would have taken that shot.

If there's an infiltration, causing mischief this way would be the smart way of going about it:

* In a head-on attack, they would get their name recognized/screenshot and easily be kicked
* With this, they would hide outside the station with silent running on, lock a player going into the station, go by the entrance, fire the missile, and retreat from entrance to avoid detection

The defense against this is to either disable point defense if we suspect someone is lurking, or be ready to Alt-F4 out of the game whenever docking.

Head-on attacks are easy to deal with - target the attacker, take a screenshot, Alt-F4 to exit the game.

The missile/point defense tactic won't last too long - Frontier has mentioned that they will be fixing things so that point defense will stop triggering a station response:

Yeah, probably.

Best to keep the old eyes peeled and be ready to take a screen shot or make a note of the Commander's name for future reference.
