After a couple of weeks of rare trading in my Asp, I had to take a break. I am now supporting the Federation at Banki versus the Gold Gang.

Traded a little bit and added some new info to Inara. My old route had dropped significantly in profits so it was time to move on. My new trading route is a long flight, but at least it can make me 1,5-2 million for an hour's work. Nothing worth to report, I'm in an area where hardly anyone visits, one of the systems had seen 2 ships in the last 24 hours.

I am about to take a journey out into the big "black" with my newly aquire Asp. I was able to outfit it like I want with everything except the top A FSD, I got the 1.5 mil one not the 4.5 mil one. I'm only about 200 lys outside of Lave practicing scoping and scanning, figuring out the route I want to take, and trading along the way. I'm about 1.5 mil from being able to upgrade to the top FSD and cover insurance costs... should I wait it out and work for that last upgrade, or just take the plunge on maybe a shorter say 750 ly expedition? I would like to come back having earned enough to upgrade, but credits are so minimal for exploring?!?

Did you pick up an auto repair unit? I think they have those working now. I was heading out and got interdicted right next to a sun and took some damage. I've also popped out of a jump between 3 suns and took damage. I wouldn't want to do that thousands of light years from help and then have something important fail. As I'm not trading, I traded in my 64T cargo rack for a good one at just about the last station before the void (unless I'm reading the Galactic map wrong). I also traded in my chaff launcher for an extra heat sink launcher.

Yeah its outfitted with a repair unit, that I have no idea how to use, and a heat sink launcher. Really everything is ready to go for exploring except the highest tier FSD, but I should be able to go pretty far on the 2nd best FSD.

By now I've not found any. I am thinking to mining a bit.
I will try to move away from the zone where I am now 'cos i think that too many players are around and this could undermine the trading income.

Managed to actually get some gameplay in last night and this morning inbetween shifts.

Finished up a rare run in my T6 and decided to sell everything (Cobra included and go for an Asp). Spent the rest of the night looking for a station that sold an Asp. And also a station that sold D or E rated equipment to replace my A rated equipment. This did not go well, and had me passing back toward Lave, Diso and Lessti. Before another 160ly journey back to Altair to actually purchase a new ship.

I am now the proud owner of a lovely new Asp, in Imperial Red!!!!! With shiny new "Founder" decals on her. But unfortunately no equipment what so ever, other than the standard rubbish. If any other commanders have come across a A5 FSD in the Lave/Altair/Sol region then please let me know.

Will be doing a few more rare runs to be able to afford the rest of the equipment, because at 5m a piece is costs a lot.

If you have access to the Founders World, Shinrarta Dezhra (or something like that I can't remember the exact spelling) go to Jameson Memorial station where you can get the discount (again if you have Founder's Account) and they have an A5 FSD.

I remember reading that the system you want to repair has to be powered off and the repair unit will work on it by itself.
