Hello everyone,
I'm jase (short for jason) I've been playing Elite Dangerous since beta last year, but naturally now that the game is released, and folllowing the launch, i've played much of the time in solo mode largely because my gamer orientation is more pve than pvp. I'm like most i guess, played the original Elite, in my 40's now, so i'm kinda settled in the way i like to play.
I started in the area where Aiabiko is, like everyone else with a sidewinder and very little credits, and quickly established a trade route between three stars building up and upgrading as I went. Moving quickly up to a cobra mk3, and trying my hand at bounty hunting managed to build up more sizeable sums of money at resource extraction points, i then progressed further.
I've moved through various ships, mostly trading since the cobra mk3 and am now in a Lakon Type 9.
I've tried open mode and due to the more than just a few odd 'experiences' with some pilots that were armed to the teeth while i was just in a fairly undefended trade ship, i still tend towards solo mode so that my game feels more fun for me.
Now if i could blend what i like about solo with a decent group of players, then i would play that, so I've heard of Mobius before and understand from info i got on the forum that you are primarily first and foremost pve but with combat zones being the only exception where pvp is a granted. This seems great for me.. mostly for the pve side, but that i know and accept that a combat zone is a place where you would take the risks that go with it naturally.
I've applied to join via the in-game menu and as per your site instructions, so if you'll allow me to join, that would be fantastic.
