I went as close to the Earth as I could, had a good look and then landed at Abraham Lincoln. Later I will explore this system and look at all our planets. I wish they hadn't terraformed Mars, as I would have liked to see it in all its redness.

I'm hovering stationary above the Earth to see whether planets in ED revolve, and if so, how long do they take to complete one revolution. Is it in real time? So would earth take 24 hours, the moon 27 days and Neptune 16 hours.

I've decided to have a look at the Sgr A black hole. I've kitted out an ASP and have made 3500 ly in a few days. Radio 4 in the background keeps me sane, but I won't be playing everyday.

I'm pretty sure they'd have orbits taking real time, especially in the Sol system where those details are known down to pretty much the tiniest detail. Planets and stuff definitely move about, as you'll notice if you spend a lot of time visiting any one station a lot - its position relative to the planet will vary, as will the view of the planet once you're there, and the direction in which you need to turn in order to jump back to wherever it was you came from.

I have noticed that the time of day isn't correct though. Right now, in the game, the UK is on the dark side. Looking out of my hotel window it's daylight. But we can't expect everything to be accurate. Frontier have made a stunningly awesome game. .

I've been to the moon and now I'm in orbit around Mercury. I plan to take a break from missions and trading to fly to and orbit each of Sol's planets and moons. Then I'm going to look for things such as the International Space Station and various satellites that have been sent out in real life to explore our planets. >.<

After finishing the LTT 9810 CG in the top 40% and popping into a couple of CZs on my way back to Gebel, I've finally been able to upgrade the old thrusters to 'A' grade, going to do a bit of trading for a while now to recoup some of the 16m credits. Shields next, but at 51m an 'A' grade power plant's a little way off yet, these Pythons are expensive hobbies

Well, how do you know the time of day is wrong? We're only in 2015 - your Cobra is flying around in 3300 or whatever . I don't know if the ISS and other stuff would still be there but someone found Voyager 2 in the correct loaction it should be IRL by that point in the future - there was a screenshot of it in a newsletter ages ago .
