I just picked up a shiny new Python at Diaguandri -Ray for 15% off. I checked Aasgananu-Houssay first, but they don't have Pythons. Ray has 15 ships for sale, Houssay has 12.

Got her pretty well outfitted for my current budget, too. It sure helps getting 15% off!! $$$

I don't think it makes sense that passives will require a pledge - then it would just be a bonus on rank 1 rather than a passive. It's like what that faction is doing with their space, not a way they reward people. Arissa, for example, increases system security and removes black markets as a passive. Will security ships only appear for pledged people and black markets only disappear for pledged people? No, it's the effect they have on the space they control - it affects everyone. Likewise Zemina increases the supply of Imperial Slaves in stations because she is a big sponsor of the slave guilds. I wouldn't be concerned with these becoming pledge only : ) pledging already has it's distinct benefits. Sometimes they stack too, like Arissa increasing bounty payouts by 20% passive and by up to 40% more on top of that if you pledge

hmm i'm going to take advantage of this i think, before something changes - i'll do all my ships apart from the Vultures. i should be able to save quite a bit on 8 ships with 15% off, minus 10% loss on selling the original hulls of course

Made a trip over to check it out in my python and now it is no longer a trader. Got all my systems upgraded and added weapons and shields. Did some undermining in PP tonight in my newly armed battle wagon and it was fun tearing ships apart with all the firepower this ship has. That discount made a huge difference in being able to get combat capable. Great thing is I can still haul over 200 tons of cargo with this setup. Thanks for the notice on the discount.

This was the third place I went searching for an A8 power plant. They did have one.

So, it took me an hour to sell my Conda A spec power plant, thrusters, and distributor, then fly to Li's space, find the new A spec stuff, buy it and get back where I started. I lost 8M in the hour it took (or didn't gain 8M from trading for an hour, however you want to look at it), but saved about 36M, so I netted a savings of about 28M.

That was good, but I think it's really more helpful for someone outfitting a brand new, expensive ship, or looking to upgrade an expensive module.

I am 90% sure that Diaguandri -Ray had T-9s. They have a 15 ship shipyard, and it was mostly larger ships.

If you don't find it there, it's only about 30-35ly to Aasgananu-Houssay. Houssay had more of the smaller ships, but you never know.
