After spending 5 weeks without seeing any other commander and docking like a maniac, last night I went for a bit of trading. I encountered my first human commander in a T9. I once again apologise to that commander for my poor docking manners, I'm glad you got to land in spite of my boorish docking procedure.

i just had the hardest battle of any i've had so far - i was leaving the CZ for a breather because i was down to one ring of shields and i had no cells left, and i got followed out by two elite Anacondas and a dangerous Cobra. i didn't want to SC away and lose the Anacondas - they are the whole reason i am doing this grind, and they don't spawn as elite very often so two at once is a rarity - so i had to draw the Cobra away and finish him off without taking any hits, and then do the same to the Anacondas. the nearby outpost offers ammo but no repairs, so i couldn't take any damage which made it a lot harder. i succeeded, but only barely. now at 88% to Elite rank...

I was pottering around alliance space trying to get friendly......

Then went slightly brain dead....Took a good delivery mission and thought that system and station sounds familiar.....

Well it should...coz I have a fecking great bounty on my head there...Thought fuck it I'll give it a go.....

Silly me.....Nearly made it thorough the slot....Scanned at last minute and deadly force authorised......

Run away....Run away.......

Next away with the fairies moment.....Thought right abandon that mission and take the hit......Bounty has another 5 days to run...Mission was 7 hours.....

So abandon the mission.....Well nearly....Abandoned the wrong mission and got a fine in another system.....

I swear I was not drinking....

I kin am now though.....

Anyway now loaded up with rares and going to cash in some bounties that are about 170 Lys away...Hence the rares.....

Whilst slurping cider and listening to planet rock......

Oh and if only I had waited one day.....Repair costs seem a bit more sensible now......

Btw, does movement on the HOTAS sync properly with the pilot's arms in-game? I'm getting tired of seeing my pilot's hand not doing anything when I'm moving the ship around with a mouse.

Yes, the hands move with stick and throttle inputs. There is no wrist movement (that I could see, anyway) for yaw input though.

I went from 70% to 80% deadly in one sitting. I need a break but I think if i can just stick with it I can make Deadly by the end of day. Then onto the long road that is the march to Elite.

what surprised me was the repair cost on my clipper. i came back to my home station with 30% hull and a half broken canopy - 16k repairs. The other day i payed 600k for 55% hull repairs. Was it a bug? or does repair vary on the damaged systems?!

The last server update changed the repair cost from 5% of the hull's price, to 1%.
