Thx. How are you liking the X52? has the game become harder or easier?

I **LOVE** the X-52! :D The learning curve was pretty steep the first few days, and it took about 2 weeks to get everything just the way I want it.... and now it's fantastic. It allows me to do everything on the HOTAS, except of course typing text chats in game. It has helped in combat situations, with things like being able to target enemies and select wingman's target much faster, etc.

I admit I'm slightly intimidated by this thing. I am failing hard at getting everythign to do what I want it to do

Sorry you're struggling with it. What is the challenge that you're facing? Are you having a hard time deciding which buttons for which commands, or are you having a hard time getting the config file to accept your configuration, or .... ???? more details please.

I know that when I first got my x-52 it was overwhelming as hell trying to decide what to put where. I looked at about 6-8 configurations on line (google images was VERY helpful) and also mapped out the default setup in E-D. Based on what seemed to make the most sense of those, I made tweaks to the default E-D config, until I was fairly happy with it. Then it took another 6-10 small revisions to get everything 'just right'.

BTW on day 2 and 3, I seriously considered returning my X-52 and going back to the Flightstick Pro.

Hang in there Baigs.... it's not easy in the beginning.... but it's **SO** worth it once you get it setup and get comfortable with it!

my problem is less to do with the # of buttons but more trying to get which button I want to do what and the # of controls in ED .
