Mind you - the game did crash during the purchase process, but when I restarted I was in the Cobra

Just got my new Cobra as well, and my game crashed during the purchase process too.

And I also upgraded my graphics gard from a GTX560 to a GTX970, and WOW.. If it was pretty before, now its just gorgeous.

So - should be fixed, please report if not.

I do like the Cobra and I'm getting further towards the outer reaches of the modelled area now. Was at Wyrd earlier - and then saw a place called "Wang Terminal"

Are they taking the piss? It's my favourite destination...

No I didn't ticket it, didn't have time as I had to go to Stuttgart for 3 days of bingedrinking.

Got my card from a shop in Oslo,Europe,Earth,Sol system.

So now my rig is more or less completely upgraded and ready for everything E:D will throw at me.

Final rig is MSI Z97 Gaming 5 MB, Intel I7-4770K CPU, Corsair Vengeance (Just love that name) 16GB,and MSI GTX970 Gaming 4G, a Kingston 240GB SSD and an Saitek X52 Hotas. And the MB is ready for triple SLI if the game's gonna be needy.
Still only have a 21" monitor though, so that will be the next step.

That setup sounds quite similar to mine, apart from mine being an ASUS Maximus Hero motherboard (no triple SLI). As for monitors...what I need is three of these...

Only one monitor feels a bit restrictive. Either that or a Rift when then consumer version comes out.

Talking of monitors, I have a 22" HannsG and an Acer 19".

I'd love to have another 19" for the other side, but the problem is that they make a load of monitors with a certain size and resolution, then they keep upping the resolution for the following same size models, so when you want to get another (for a threesome) - the resolutions don't match and you end up having to buy at least two new ones instead.

Very frustrating - and invokes almost as much hatred for monitor manufacturers as it does for the scumbag, robbing printer makers!

When I got the 22" monitor, I'd been used to the 19", which I'd had for about 4 years, and it actually made me feel disoriented and sick, so I had to have it a few feet away. Now I've had it a couple of years, I can have it about 2 feet for FPS and general work/admin and about 3 feet for flying and EliteD.

It's plenty big enough and I have no intention of going any bigger - though I would have wider, with one of those curved 1440x2700 screens, if I could afford it
