Is that code for 'self righteous comments'?

It must be. Those comments are flowing big time on the Forum :D

Got to admit, I'm glad I've got the lifetime pass already.

I think gamers are spoiled nowadays. FFS, take a look at Call of Duty or any other shooter that comes out on a yearly basis. It's the exact same thing with a different name tage. and BAM - cash out another 60-70€. No one beats an eye.

I won't even mention games like FIFA or Assassin's creed. AC gets a sequel announced before the currently announced game is even released. And don't let me start on the bugs in EA games. SIMS? A core game that milks the hell out of you with DLCs.

What about MMOs? World of Warcraft has a monthly sub and a full blown priced expansion. Guild Wars 2 charges 70€ for an expansion that has NOTHING announced content-wise. And GW2 didn't get a single content update in like a year. Only crap stuff in the cash store.

Most of the crybabies are spoiled brats expecting a development company to put their knowledge, time and effort into a product that they would then give out for free. That's just nonsence.

And Star citizen? Don't let me start on that one. By the time SC gets released (if it gets released anyway), ED will have 4 expansions. And just imagine being some bloke who cashed out 1000+$ on a game that gets postponed time after time and will (like any other multiplayer title) be released with TONS of bugs.

People should just get bitchslapped.

Anywho - how do i get my discount in the store? It says 49€, but when i hit the checkout it doesn't apply the discount. Is it just for backers? Is there a code i need to apply?

Skipp, I didn't pull the trigger and say Pay it, but it was showing me the Discounted Price (price and then discount).

I would say log out, clear cookies and cache and try again.

IMHO, I think it's just unlucky marketing.

Looking at the planned features, this is no expansion. This is practically E:D2, just with Horizon as subtitle instead of a classic sequel number.
So if they deliver what they announce it is well worth the price point of a full game.

So expansion is just the wrong term, it tickles people the wrong way, they think of short and badly designed DLCs and stuff when they think about expansions nowadays.

Some interesting bits from an article at http://www.gamereactor.eu/news/334073/H ... Dangerous/

First:
"First there's the small matter of the PvP arena mode, CQC, heading to PC and Mac alongside the full release of the game on Xbox One come September. That release will precede the release of Ships, a content update that'll bring the number of ships in the game to over thirty and clear the way for the Horizons expansion."

Then about Horizons:
"Players will seamlessly journey from space to surface, coasting over mountaintops, diving into canyons and venturing out on the ground in the SRV, without loading screens or breaks in gameplay."

and then:
"A second major expansion is planned to land in Q1 2016, and that will bring with it a new loot and crafting system, as well as other gameplay additions and more unnamed features, with more updates planned further into the year."

TBH I'm disappointed by the pricing. It's the same price as the full game was at release, and that seems like a rip off to me (especially as I refuse to preorder any game/DLC). It seems to be a pattern with FD as their skins are also a rip off and need to either be much cheaper or work on all ships. This isn't a free to play game so the pricing is unjustifiable as far as I'm concerned. They don't realise that far more people would be willing to buy add ons/skins if it's priced fair (i.e. cheap), likely making much more money then they do from them currently. I for one haven't bought a single skin and unless their policy changes I likely never will, as they just aren't good value for money (I mean £8 for one skin for one ship is ridiculous).
