Has any explorer come across any newly forming planets, deformed planets, shattered planets (from collision with other celestial bodies), stars being stripped of their gas from a neighboring black hole?

I've been traveling around only a small portion of the galaxy in game and have not wondered out of the bubble yet, so I'm just asking out of curiosity. And also, wondering how rich, the Elite Dangerous simulation of, the galaxy is?

Thanks and regards.
Have fun, fly safe.

Nothing of the sort I'm afraid, the graphics etc just doesn't exist yet but I am sure FD wish hey can implement something of the sort sometime, I sure wish they would :)

Another question, how did you manage to have your thrusters showing so nicely in the Screenshot? I know pressing the Fire button fires weapons even while screenshotting, but lateral thrusters ...

And I will have to pay that system a visit, looks awesome. Thanks for sharing!

Expanding on Falcons comment, i'd really like to see comets in the game, something about chasing a comet down in a system appeals to me.

Oh hell yeah, they could even give us missions where we have to go Armageddon on the suckers with our space buggies :)

Why can we not do this now? Comet threatening a habited planet? Torps, Missles and Railguns away!

Can only dream.

Ahhh that screenshot is beautiful, the way you got the engine trails in there aswell as a spiral, brilliant :D

I think i'll go check that system out, any problems when dropping out of hyper? wouldn't want to end up in a 3 star sandwich!

No problems, you'll drop out at the main star and travel a short ways to the Triplets...

As I kept the ship in a roll, I then pressed the debug camera key. That locks my ship controls as I move the external camera around trying to get the best shot. Since I was in a roll, the thrusters continued to fire. Also I used the high def screen shot option which is Alt+F10 (works in solo mode only)

That system is 6,300LY out

Drop a post in if they reply, it'd be an amazing addition to the game.

I can see this going horribly wrong if i try it near stars, will probably test in deep space first :P

Also, are you sure that only works in solo? I tried it in mobius grp today after TorTorden mentioned it in another thread and it output a 5464x3072 BMP image, my native is only 1366x768 so it's upscaled it a lot.

Hmmmm...maybe it's just Open that it doesn't work in.
