They've been doing that for some years. Haven't heard great things about it. Heat management is an obvious issue.

But I do believe that next gen top tier mobile gpus' (Pascal) should be able to handle Oculus. (Fingers crossed Andy. :) )

I classify those as "briefcase" desktops. And they still have massive heat issues and, can barely run 45 minutes on full power off the battery, and plugging in the charger builds up even more heat.
Forget about putting these on your lap if you want to have kids, or don't like first degree burns, and just typing is like touching a plastic radiator.

Considering the cost of just one of these is enough to build not one but two full size desktops without the heat issues even when just running on fans for cooling and they both would perform better for longer.
