Greetings Commanders! a pleasure to be in your company.

My name is CMDR Blood Drunk, a frivolous FPS player and some-times RPGer and one-time MMO (this).

Currently on my way back from Sag A* I read about Mobius on the Reddit sub and thought "wahey! this is the group for me."

I remember when I first got this game (not long ago at all really) and I was loving the RPG element of it all. I was interdicted in my ASP by a couple of Clippers and knew I was in trouble...but they hailed me with a simple ultimatum - drop my engines or die. I wasn't ready to die. They asked for 4T of cargo (I was carrying about 30) so after asking them how on earth I ejected cargo, and them giving me guidance, I was sent on my way. It would be easy to be frustrated at being picked on by the local bully, but no! I loved the role play of it all, the reasonable nature of these pirates....the complete lack of mindless killing I'm used to.

A few weeks later I dropped into a system looking to bounty hunt in my Vulture, I didn't notice a message pop up from a local pirate warning me that this was a pirate system and if I didn't leave, I'd be having a bad day. That is to say I didn't notice it until I was fighting an interdiction. Before I knew it I had lasers putting some serious heat into my shields - I was caught totally off-guard for such a sudden and ferocious attack. I had a long cool down as I foolishly didn't submit so I frantically typed my message "WAIT! I DIDN'T REALISE....I'LL LEAVE YOUR SYSTEM!". Just as I deployed hardpoints in a desperate last ditch effort to defend my sorry ass, I got a message back "message seen, on your way cmdr". Phew! a close call, but I loved it...every moment of it....because it was RP. There was purpose, a story, a reason.

But sadly these two experiences are overshadowed by so many attempts on my life for no reason - I have no bounty, no allegiance, no cargo. Realising I'm a PvE player who enjoys exploring and trading, I was delighted to read of an entire community/group of like minded individuals who just wanna rock around the galaxy getting there pew pew! not from ruining other's enjoyment, but from the environment. I'll still drop into open for some bounty hunting I'm sure, but for now - I'll be PvE.
