Mouse - I'd be happy to oblige, but can't seem to find a way to attach a larger file. Any suggestions?

This topic has me playing around with my HUD colors again... IridiumSkies' colors look nice, and I plan on flying them for a bit. And seeing if I can get the green a little more vibrant.

It would be nice if FD made the HUD items individually programmable, but it's kinda' like my X-52 MFD... Neat as it would be, I can see why they want to devote their time to more pressing issues like the background sim, getting Horizons out, etc.

Only way I can think of is a link to the picture in photobucket or something. ANd I also want to mess around with HUD colors again, but am leaving them alone for now. Wish if they did implement it that there was a way to choose what color certain things are vs the whole thing changing.

I just want the overall interface to look green, but shield/targets...etc to remain the same. Anyone got any tips?

Seems all sliders tie in with each other, making this impossible, it started out I believe with the rift users since then default text color was ileggible (the dk2 panels has twice the resolution in green pixels than in red and blue)

I tried tweaking mine, but it all kinda wind up looking as some two year through his water colors into a bucket and started finger painting a UI with the result, and that's why I stick with the default.

Drat - Mouse, sorry, but I avoid most of the kind of sites that would let me post a picture and link to it. Shucks, even my Facebook and LinkedIn accounts exist mainly so I can lock them down. (Not, BTW, old fashioned - I just live in a world where controlling your online exposure is smart.)

Suggest just giving the settings a try. I tweaked around a bit this afternoon and went back to my old ones, as posted - the green is vibrant and contrasts well with the pink. My only complaint is that the blue does, depending on the lighting, sometimes make it difficult to make out the arrows on an approaching station. But, since I generally just look for the axis of rotation anyway... not a biggie to me. YMMV.

I find it is very difficult to get a decent colour scheme. It took me weeks tweaking mine to get it so that I could reliably get a difference in the HUD targets, and then took me days to get used to it.

But Now, I don't want to go back. I use a Blue Scheme, and am happy with it.

I am sure that you will have to tweak a little here and there and then take some time to get used to it. It is extremely hard to keep the Red/Green Targets and get a good HUD variation. I gave up and went for something that would allow me to see the difference. It may be that you will have to make that sort of compromise.

I gave the green scheme a good go over a couple sessions, and I didn't have any major issues with it, but I just didn't feel comfortable with it and felt like I was missing out on something. Then I tried the setup I suggested and it wasn't very good either. I changed the sliders from moving them 50% to moving them only 25% and it was much more satisfactory. It's still close to default, but not so 'neon orange', and it does add some odd outlines to some features. If I could change just the HUD color to green, or even blue (cancer be damned), I think I would.
It's time to give this another go.

Roger, if you want, when I get home I can share my blue hud settings. Friends are green, hostiles are purple and the rest are light blue.

Mine is very similar, just a little less red in the mix and a little darker. As you can see here.

Thanks, but that's not necessary for me, but others may want it. For now, I don't want to compromise with the colors of other elements, like sensors, shield rings, various text, and the galactic map.
It's time to give this another go.
