I just think I would accidently be hitting the wrong buttons with that......

Mind you I spose once you get used to it.....

Hmmmmm.....

To be honest I've never "miss clicked" one of the side buttons at all with the Nyth, the side buttons are well set to avoid that from happening. Plus the customisation option on the layout is a bonus and as you say it works great with games such as Fallout 4 and Borderlands 2 as well as strategy games etc.

Wireless, if you run out of juice you just plug it in and you are up and running in milliseconds.

Elite has costed me quite a lot I might say

Hmmmm......Just looked at the 700........

That's muddied the water even further......

I Like the look of that......Wireless too.....

Which would be a bonus, as my mouse wire seems to get caught on every little thing that I put on my desk......

I really need to finds a place where I can try these in the hand.....

I have it, it's quite nice does what I need but I use hardly any of the buttons :P
apart from when I was playing ED with just m+k...

I went with a RAT 3 a while back. Went back to the cord. Tired of batteries and the BS that it entails. As soon as my Keyboard wears out I will replace it with a Corded model as well.

I was looking at some of these adjustable mice as well. It would be nice to have something with a few more buttons (only have 5) and a better fit for my polar bear size hands. Just everyone is pushing cordless and that is not what I want. This looks like something I can get behind, if they sell it here in der Schweiz.

Well just been seriously looking at the Nyth.......

But thought.....

I run a power grid for fallout......With the Pip boy app on a 2nd tablet.....

So do I really NEED all them buttons..........

Quick weapon change is done via the grid....A quick stimpak....Quicksave etc.....And they are all labelled.....Which means I don't have to remember which button or cycle through them with the wheel......

Sheesh.......

I remember when buying a mouse was simple........

And cleaning the ball that seemed to pick up every single piece of crap on your mat......

:)

Happy birthday by the way........

Is it possible with the Logitech programming software to configure a macro for one button that will aim (RMB) and lower the DPI whilst held down and return to normal when released ?

The reason I ask is the Cougar 700 has it's own DPI setting just for the sniper button.....So when it is held down it lowers the DPI and when released the DPI returns to normal......

And I don't want to do the DPI down........Aim.......DPI up as separate key presses....

It's between the Logi 700s and the Cougar 700 at the moment......700s has more programmable buttons and is wireless, But looking at the programming manual I'm not sure it can do that macro....And the palm rest adjustment on the Cougar looks like it could come in handy for comfort....Also the mouse wheel on the 700s has come in for a load of criticism.....But the Cougar does not have a mouse wheel "Tilt"...Which I use quite a bit......

Decisions.......Decisions...

I am not sure, there is a Macro programming keys but I don't think you can have different reaction for pressing/depressing.

Again I am not sure

Well just stumbled across the Cyborg MMO 7.......

This seems to be everything I want......Especially the 5 way thumb button......Hold it down and it lowers the DPI...But I could program it to bring V.A.T.S up when I pull back......Plus the whole thumb rest is movable and you have an adjustable palm rest and interchangeable rests....Oh and a weight system......

I think that will be the one that goes on the Xmas list......

Thanks for all the replies guys........They were really helpful......

Well update time.....

Looked around again as no one had the MMO 7 in stock for a sensible price and came across the Roccat Tyon....

http://www.roccat.org/en-GB/Products/Gaming-Mice/Tyon/

Which is cheaper (£20 off in pcworld) and has a few interesting features....like the "Dorsal" fin and analogue paddle.....

I looked at the Nyth again but I like the idea of the 4 buttons up front on the Tyon.....They look like they would be easier for me to hit quickly......

It has good reviews......

Whilst looking I also came across a few iffy reviews about the tracking dying on the MMO 7 after a while...

So I think I will go for this one......I do like Roccat stuff anyway.....Build quality always seems good.....

That things has more buttons switches and dodads than my hand could manage. Looks cool though.
