Key Bindings - program needs improvement

Thanks Walter for sending it.

May take a bit before I can try it, Just got an email saying they have updated ASTRA for Horizons. Now I have to worry about all the custom stuff I have done if I try to upgrade.

No problem. Just to emphasis: it's just to view your bindings outside the program, not edit them.

Have to agree about the internal organisation of the options: dreadful UI.

The bindings file does differentiate between input devices otherwise we wouldn't be able to use more than one joystick.

It's just that in game this isn't displayed...

The .binds files are simply UTF-8 formatted XML's.
Anyone familiar with XML's should easily be able to read and edit directly, not that I have ever needed to.
Here's my current one. I have three main devices my pedals, my throttle and Joystick.
For some reason my Ch-fighterstick is identified as "068EC0F3", but the rest have very nice names.

Setting a root preset name to anything other than a default is simply great it shows in the bindings presets and changing settings creates a new minor version instead of deleting your old ones.

I agree the interface is terrible but I haven't much trouble using it.
Then again that might just as well be my aspergers kicking in.
And besides I have now been using my current setup since the end of May and it's all muscle memory now

The CH Pro Throttle has a little problem. See pic. The labels for the front switch, hat 1, (target wingman 1, target wingman 2, target wingman 3, wingman navlock) are written into the wrong box. They also appear in reverse order (imho). Regardless, I think the directions should be shown from the user's perspective, not from looking straight at the switch. Anyway, when working properly that would be a quick & easy way to fill in a print a throttle layout. I'm using a Logitech Extreme 3D for the joystick, but that's easy to remember.

I'd be happy to take a look at the joystick as well once I've finished off my current project (X52).

Regarding the layout on the back throttle hat, yes it may well be a bit back-to-front. Unfortunately CH's labels leave a bit to be desired. The way that I want it to be is as follows:

up - away from the base (and, usually, the ground)
down - towards the base
right - to the right as you would usually use the throttle (and away from the majority of the throttle handle)
left - to the left as you would usually use the throttle

Not the easiest thing to explain, as it turns out. Anyway, because I'm running the CH device manager it remaps everything and although I've tried to make the above accurate I may have mucked it up. Please could you give it another go and see how it turns out, and let me know if the controls that you have set match the above expectations?
