Help - Horizons beta ship finding

Postby de Carabas » Sat Dec 12, 2015 8:00 pm

I've done most of my Beta driving on planets away from settlements. I landed at one properly and went for a drive and then realised that I had no idea how to find my ship again. I ended up driving out of the settlement a few km's and then recalling the ship.

What am I missing?

I believe if you are in your SRV and close enough to the settlement, you can re-request docking and then follow the blue ball (compass thing) to the right spot (like a small garage area attached to your landing pad). You can then look down (or how ever you get the SRV panel to come up) and select to 'board ship'.

Or you can go away and when you're far enough, call your ship from the middle screen.

Yeah, which is what I did. Doesn't feel right though.

Nope.....

It's shit......

You then after requesting docking have to find the pad and sorta find your "Garage" below the pad........

And the pad maybe diff from what you landed at......Nothing in scanner to give you any help at all.....

Dunno whether it's changed in the latest betas......

Once was enough for me......Running around like a headless chicken until I ran outta fuel and went boom.....

Tor.....Hold on.......Tor.......Wait a bit.....TOR will you stop fecking firing.......Ok......Tor I know a therapist that can help you....... :D My Cmdr also has small feet
