That looks pretty cool and I think I want one. That was a nice review, except for trashing head tracking as being unnatural. I find head tracking totally natural and immersive and I'm always looking exactly where I want with minimal head movement. The only issue is looking past 90 degrees, but that mostly because of pausing on the panels. This may actually have less of a problem in regards to focusing on the panels and not drifting off if them. With head tracking, I can move my head to center my vision where my head is pointing, but still glance around the screen. I thought with eye tracking that it would be too jerky when you glance around, but they seem to tame it pretty well, so glancing around doesn't cause the screen to jump around (depending on software settings). It also looks like you can combine head movements and eye movements as they both have some affect on the tracking.

Anyway, I'd love to be able to put down the headset and go back to my sound bar. Also, not being tethered to the computer would be great. But now that I'm using Voice Attack, I'll need to get another microphone to go with this. And then how will the mic work with speakers blasting out from under the monitor? And can you use a loud speaker system with voice comms or Team Speak, as well as with Voice Attack, or will people be able to hear your speakers. But if I need to turn the volume way down to use voice control or comms, then that probably means that I can't use this.

I think I'll just save my money for an eventual VR purchase. Both head tracking and eye tracking have their own issues. With head tracking, you can glance around the screen, but it doesn't shift your vision like what happens with your eyes. But with eye tracking, you appear to have similar problems, but maybe playing with the software will give different results. Ideally, a 1:1 VR head tracking for looking around, with 1:1 eye tracking for shifting your glance, would be a marriage made in heaven. I just hope that's going to be gen 2 and not gen much later.

I've got the money, so I guess it really depends on whether I'll still need to use the headset, or if I can use speakers and a mic with VA and etc?
It's time to give this another go.

And it's Elite I want to play with this.
I do truly hope it works with my usb 3 ports since I just replaced this mother board on sunday :\

Since I have already ordered one I can be your guinea pig and test it out.

Looks like you've got sound covered, if nothing else.

You don't see the wires when you turn the lights off ;)
has been one of my decoration cornerstones.

The plasma is my smaller day time ps4/ netflix viewer. A 90" screen comes down in front of it when I'm watching movies or got a few uninterrupted hours for gaming.

I love it.
The people upstairs not so much hehe
But I try to keep myself at an 80 db peak volume after 11pm ;)

Yeah I noticed that myself on my 1080p monitor, the new "horizon" Hud elements are practically illegible in 1080p. And its not a matter of screen size but resolution, so a 60" would not solve that unless you also went UHD (and I would) but that would also require a hefty GPU.

The new 2016 line of UHD TVs are actually the first line of UHD TV's I would recommend buying unless you are aware that you are an "early adopter".

Well, I have a 980Ti, so I certainly hope it would handle 4k. Get hundreds of Fps when I turn off vsynch at 1080p.

I just don't want to shell out for a new TV at the moment.

Suspect the reports will start flowing in a bit faster than three weeks - just got shipping confirmation with an ETA of 1/29. Woo-ho! A new toy!
