The Most Remote Spaceport

Postby Myrm » Sat Jan 09, 2016 4:30 pm

Hi

What is the most remote spaceport or planet you have visited?

Did it have a large landing pad?

I fancy a long trek in my Type 7.

I didn’t go there, but the most remote starport I know of is Hutton Orbital in Alpha Centauri. It’s 0.22 light years from the star. That’s a trek!

Only medium pad on Hutton.

Maia, fehu, and 17 draconis are all about 400 ly from bubble.

As for furthest I have gone was about 4500 ly from sol, both to Barnards loop and across the first expanse and almost towards the cats paw nebula but I got bored.

If your talking about farthest from Sol, Quince has 3 stations and it is 480 ly from Sol, in the direction of Sag A*

Did the Hutton run 3 times I think. 1st and 2nd to bring in scraps for the CG. 3rd, to collect reward.
It is the longest distance I've had to travel (or wanted to travel) to a station.

Only one I can think of that hasn't been mentioned is probably Jaques Station, or however it's spelled. Nothing really to do there, as last I remember it has no Shipyard, UniCarto shop, BB, or Commodities Market.

Did it once for a mission, good time to do your spring cleaning while underway.
