They always seem to wait till you think you are safe, and will make it to the drop out point. Oh well, only another 5 runs to make that back..

I personally think NPCs should not be equipped with rail guns. As it is they never seem to miss with fixed weapons and with the rail gun they don't even seem to have the charge up time before firing. Or they seem to be able to charge up their weapons on a turn and fire just as they are facing you.

On topic. Still bounty hunting to increase combat ranking. 10% more to go.

Finally made it to billionaire. Did not make it to trading elite, only 46% tycoon, so some work remains.
Looking forward to fly something else than cutter, worryingly it started to feel good to fly so I guess a session with a Vulture is just what I need to return to reality.

and I am a still a noob but I think the Vulture rocks, I killed a Python NPC in a one on one and didn't lose a shield ring, just wow.

16gb ram in hand for installation tonight. Should allow the machine to breathe better than the 4 that is in there now.

Part of my piece by piece upgrades for this year. Next is case and PSU. Then video and SSD (although which order is in question) which will have me where I want to be until I see a reason that my quad core I5 is not cutting it anymore.

Decided to have a little fun taking out a Sidewinder. By the way, there is nothing better for checking out head tracking than flying around in a Sidewinder, either flying around a station or in combat.

I died twice. First time was with a beam laser setup. It took forever to kill even just a hauler with the gimballed beams never seeming to converge very will. Switched to a dual fixed burst laser setup and that worked much better. With help from the cops I had about 3 mil before I knew it. Then I saw one cop taking on a wing of 2 Clippers and an FDL. I jumped in against the FDL - boy, those things can maneuver. I heard an explosion - the cop was dead. I lasted about 5 seconds longer.

Oh well, those were my first ever combat deaths (not including 3x griefers in open, an accident, 2x flying traders, and smuggling). I'm going to try and be a little less anal about not dying, and have a little more fun going for it.

Little one at a party for a few hours, so time to try out an all laser build on the Corvette.

Had a little glitch with the Vive. Got the authorisasion request from the bank, and replied within a minute, it appeared on the card then nothing. Then I checked my spam folder yesterday, and they had cancelled the order. Happened to a number of first pre-orders, but I did not spot for a week. The customer service person was quite nice, despite my irritation as it should have shipped already.
At least now I am back near the top of the queue with an April delivery time...
