Sold my Vulture (awesome RES hunter) and got myself a FDL. I never had one, I like the way it looks so I decided to give it a try. So far it feels great, handles very good and I just need to find a good replacement for the PAC in that huge slot...

It is a Bank holiday weekend here in the UK (Monday off). I intend to be in Aerial at the CNB from 10:00 BST (what is this mythical 'Summer' thing?)

It was also fun to have RobFM81 and Cometborne in there with us for a bit, before Bonsaipanda joined in.

LOL... no worries, Panda. It happens to all of us. It was great winging with you and Al this morning! I am 3% closer to Elite now, thanks to you guys. Only 9% to go.

Sold my Vulture (awesome RES hunter) and got myself a FDL. I never had one, I like the way it looks so I decided to give it a try. So far it feels great, handles very good and I just need to find a good replacement for the PAC in that huge slot...

I love the FDL. Fast, sleek, deadly, and fun to fly! I think that once the new huge weapons come out, the FDL will be a powerhouse. I can see a huge pulse laser or multi-cannon being very effective on it.

I'll be back in the CNB at Aerial later today, around 9PM BST (1 PM PDT-USA), and tomorrow around 10-11AM BST if anyone wants to wing up to kill deadly and elite ships to work on your combat rank and make a few credits along the way.

What happened to me is that I got a harsh lesson that I am under-clued for serious CNB action, my current build needs work, and that going into a CNB while carrying cargo for two different OoM missions and ten escape pods looking for OoM SAR missions is not a good idea. So I did the "Brave Sir Robin" thing and high-waked out of there before getting a free visit to the insurance screen.

In consolation, I took a SAR mission from the next planetary outpost where I landed and got a POI that went into "absolutely ridiculous" on the player friendliness scale. I spent about an hour in there, finding one crash site, burnt out SRV, crashed beacon, or nice rock after the other. After the SAR mission failed and I finally took off again, the POI was still active, so there would have been even more stuff to find. Even so, I now haul 24 escape pods with me, so it is probably time to land at Searle Port and settle down for some serious game mode grinding until I have gotten 24 SAR missions for the OoM.

Hopped in my Vulture for the first time in 4, maybe 5, months. Hit the thrusters and ballooned up and nearly crashed inside the station. Something's changed because when I deployed hardpoints at the HIRES, half my modules shut down. While I was trying sort that out, an Anaconda rammed me as he was scanning me. I thought they fixed that. Oh well, cleared the RES w/o taking a shot. Now I'm going to experiment again with fixed weapons, but the server may have gone down.
