well, I was grabbing some iron from a planet in 6 Andromedae, and saw some skimmers that were wanted. awesome, free cash, shot one down, and now I am both wanted by 6 Andromedae democrats AND they owe me 1k for shooting the thing... so it was both wanted by them AND allied to them?

Had the same problem with a surface mission. Was supposed to scan a turret. Then something tripped and the skimmers started attacking me. Shot back and I got the wanted status. Sometimes I just can't understand the logic. Same goes for "clean" NPC ships, intradicting and trying to pirate me, but when I shoot back I'm wanted while they stay clean.

And people wonder if NPCs cheat.

Anyway, after FD support seemed to have somehow solved my connection issues (really awesome bunch of people, more than I can say for their Dev team,) went back to Rifting. Currently scanning systems in the "New Galactic Arm" hopefully I can trigger a massive invasion of Thargoids

So, a few questions:

Do pirates attack you on the pad in a surface outpost?

If you dismiss your ship, will they attack it?
Will they attack your SRV?

The station will open up on a pirate that fires in the no fire zone just like stations and outposts in space do now.

Your Dismissed ship is safe in orbit and cannot be attacked when dismissed. They can however, attack when your ship is on the surface. I am not sure if they can attack/damage the ship as it leaves or is landing.

Not sure if they will attack the SRV but I would doubt it.

Never thought of this before - if you are in a wing and one of you is on the planet in SRV and dismisses their ship, can the other person follow the ship into orbit then? What happens to it? Does it 'vanish' or hang around somewhere invincible?

Ahh... Magic. Together with the mystic "Engineers". You have to love the Elite universe.

Either that or it's gone to Raxxla. Maybe when we have multi-crew we can finally find it. One commander disembarks in an SRV and dismisses ship and the others stay onboard and find Raxxla.

I am getting really tired of these NPC security guys ramming me at 200 m/s while trying to scan me. I just had one plow in to me so hard he detonated. What the heck is up with this lately?

This is classic Scan and Ram that the AI "learned" from players. The bigger the ship, the more you get this.

It will be fixed in 2.1 Engineers (already fixed in the beta).
