Some people are saying the NPC's are outright cheating they are so much "better". Like sidewinders one-shotting modules on an Asp.
Unless what I've heard is exaggeration, they are going to need to nerf the hell out of them. Honestly, I liked them just fine the way they were, though I haven't been interdicted by anyone except Fed Navy ships wanting to do routine scans, and they didn't even bother scanning me after they interdicted me twice. (Same two ships.) They'd just pull me down, then fly away from me.
I melted an imperial eagle in a USS, though I totally got the drop on him as he decided not to bother with me after seeing I had no cargo, so I didn't get to see his flying ability in action. (He was Azrael mafia, and wanted, so, you're welcome.) It does concern me that if they fly much better, it may be scientifically impossible to get anything but turrets firing on some ships in my Cutter, so I'm not a fan of that.
When the NPCs get access to tons of mods that I couldn't possibly have yet, it doesn't seem very "balanced" that they aren't dumb as a sack of rocks anymore, but I hope most people's complaints are blown out of proportion. First time I see a rebuy screen after a single DBX interdicting me, I may be done with this game. Not that I'm excited at the prospect of blowing up when 2 anacondas and a vulture come after me, but at least I can rationalize that.
