Hopefully there will be a balancing pass on the NPC levels before I am back. It seems a consistent finding, and one I had myself in the beta.

Screw it, I just got a clipper like two days ago, I'm going to turn it into a miner and try that. Day one, pre engineers, awesome. Day two post engineers, getting raped by the rng gods. Then on my last run of hauling less than stellar metals back to sell, I get hit by a wing, in an empty system, a wing of 2 couriers, a viper, and something else I couldn't make out because I was showing it my ass. First pass completely stripped my shields and got me to 93% hull, in like 2 seconds, then as I'm hightailing it out, multiple ships are spamming missiles at me. So that was fun.

Also, I hate hyperspace, they watered it down, looks meh now. Also the chairs everyone seems to love look like friggin futuristic barber chairs. I'm half waiting for someone to sit down next to me and get a shave and a haircut. (two bits)

Graphical changes are nice though, at least it seems to look better at similar settings, and the same FPS.

One problem right now is that all our experience is misleading, and that small ships have gotten promoted from "easy bounty fodder" to "threat". The other problem is the inconsistency. Got interdicted by a competent eagle, submit, saw a message about an impulse attack being detected, and then spent 10 seconds in the washing machine while the NPC polished the platter to hand me my backside on. Ten minutes later, get interdicted by a deadly eagle, submit, get the FSD failure message anyway, weapons out, wham, bam, thank you madam for 17k bounty.

Am doing some missions, go get this for me, while doing so during SC receive a "Mission Update" then immediately disconnected (twice) from the Server upon return after docking the Mouse does not work, Mouse does work (AlT+Tab) to the other Monitors but not the Default Display. Mouse not working in game first time I've seen that and getting a NPC attacking when I'm almost in the Mail Slot inbound, that was fun for Security. The 3C MC and 4A Beam Lasers are interesting. NPC's can take a Shield Ring down quicker now, but adding another Boosters appears to be working so far.

Well I can confidently say that NPC FDLs are not the easy cash cows they once were, and i-couriers are best avoided when in a big ship
