There have been one or two occasions where i've been on TS and asked questions and been ignored, usually I just wait and ask again or if I need a more immediate answer i'll just go and google my question. As for in-game communication, I must admit I don't usually look at the comms window much as it's generally just NPC chatter, every so often i'll be sitting in a station and glance up, or accidentally hit my keybind for the window and i'll notice something and go and check, sometimes it's a message from someone and they've gone by the time I reply... personally I just put it down to people have lives and can't be at their keyboard every second that they're online, I know I can't, and i've lost count of the amount of times i've fallen asleep in stations and woken up hours later
